Terms of use
These terms apply when you use Salah Scroll’s marketing website and our mobile application. They set out the rules for that use and work together with our Privacy policy. They are not legal advice about your own situation.
1. Agreement
By accessing or using our services, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
2. The services
Salah Scroll offers tools to help users align screen time with prayer and discipline, including (when launched) app locking and on-device verification during salah (presence in camera frame, as described on our website). Features may change; we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must meet the minimum age and capacity required in your region to enter into these terms. If the app requires an account, you are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account.
4. Not religious, medical, or legal advice
Salah Scroll is a wellbeing and productivity tool. It does not provide fatwa, religious ruling, medical advice, or legal advice. Use of the app does not replace your own judgment, scholarly guidance, or professional counsel. Prayer verification is a technical aid only; sincerity and validity of worship are between you and Allah.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse the services, probe for vulnerabilities, or interfere with other users;
- reverse engineer or scrape the services except as allowed by law;
- use the services for unlawful, harmful, or harassing purposes;
- submit false information or impersonate others in connection with the services.
6. Intellectual property
The Salah Scroll name, branding, website content, and app are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable licence to use the services for personal, non-commercial purposes in line with these terms.
7. Third-party services
The app may interact with operating-system features (e.g. screen time, app blocking) and third-party platforms. Your use of those is also subject to the relevant third-party terms.
8. Disclaimers
The services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the services will meet your requirements or that prayer-time or locking behaviour will always be accurate in every device configuration.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Salah Scroll and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the services in the twelve months before the claim or (b) zero if you have not paid us.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the services or violation of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the services for breach of these terms or for operational reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will survive.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where allowed by law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where you are a consumer and mandatory rules in your country give you the right to bring claims or rely on protections in your place of residence.
